Springs are one of the three core technologies found in mattresses, alongside foam and latex. There are two types of spring mattresses: pocket spring mattresses and biconical spring mattresses, also called Bonnell spring mattresses.
Spring mattresses are naturally ventilated and provide optimal airflow (helping against allergies). The quality of the suspension depends on the number of springs (for both biconical and pocket springs: the higher the spring count, the more precise the support) and the diameter of the wire used.
